Terms of service
By using Hiroo, you agree to these terms. Read them. They are short on purpose.
What Hiroo does
Hiroo is an invite-only job-search agent for students and early-career candidates. In V1, Hiroo uses the profile, resume context, target roles, and target locations you provide to research a small target list and run a bounded first networking outreach batch.
Who can buy
You must be a current student or recent graduate, at least 18 years old, with the legal right to work in the places where you ask Hiroo to search. By using Hiroo, you confirm that the information you give us (resume, school, work authorization) is true.
Gmail permission
- Hiroo only sends emails after you connect Gmail and grant Google OAuth permission.
- Hiroo requests the send-only Gmail scope,
gmail.send. It does not request Gmail read, modify, delete, search, label, Contacts, Calendar, or Drive access. - You can revoke access anytime from Google Account permissions.
Your account, your emails
Every email goes out from your Gmail address, not ours. You are the sender. That means:
- You are responsible for the accuracy of claims about your background in any outreach Hiroo sends for you.
- You agree to comply with the CAN-SPAM Act: real reply-to, accurate subject line, working opt-out. We build these in by default.
- If a recruiter asks to be removed, we automatically suppress that address for your account and never email them again.
- You must not use Hiroo to send mail that is unrelated to a good-faith job search (no marketing, no fundraising, no political campaigns, no harassment).
Bounded sending
V1 is intentionally narrow. Hiroo runs one first-round networking workflow, with a limited batch size shown in your dashboard. You can pause, stop, or disconnect Gmail, and we suppress anyone who asks not to be contacted.
What we promise
- A bounded first networking batch based on your profile, school, roles, locations, and target areas.
- Each message should reference something specific about the company, role, or contact, not a generic template.
- We respect Gmail's daily send limits and pace your sends so you do not get rate-limited.
- Your dashboard shows generated emails, sent status, replies, and agent activity for the first batch.
- Anything beyond the first networking batch is outside V1 unless we explicitly add it later.
What we do not promise
- We do not promise interviews, offers, or replies. Outreach is probabilistic, and reply rates vary by market, timing, and profile fit.
- We do not write your resume or rewrite your background.
- We do not guarantee any specific company, hiring manager, or role will be reachable. If we cannot find a credible contact at a target company, we substitute a comparable one.
- We do not submit job applications, manage your entire job search, or run long-term relationship management in V1.
Refunds
See the refund policy. If you paid for access, refund eligibility is governed by that policy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Hiroo to:
- Send spam, scams, phishing, or anything misleading.
- Impersonate someone you are not.
- Send mail to people who have asked to be removed.
- Violate any law (including export controls, sanctions, or anti-discrimination law).
- Reverse-engineer, resell, or scrape the service.
If you violate these rules, we may suspend your order, refund the unused portion, and revoke Gmail access. Repeated abuse means a permanent ban.
Intellectual property
You own your resume, your inputs, and your job-search materials. We retain rights to the underlying software, prompts, research pipelines, and the brand. We may use anonymized, aggregated data (e.g. average reply rates across all customers) for product improvement and marketing.
Liability
Hiroo is provided "as is." To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost interviews, lost offers, or reputational harm from outreach sent through the service.
Termination
You can stop using Hiroo at any time by disconnecting Gmail and emailing us to delete your data. We can suspend or end your access if you violate these terms. Refunds for terminations, if applicable, are governed by the refund policy.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that materially affects your rights, we will email everyone with an active order and update the date at the top. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Boone County, Missouri, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
